About StoryHabitat

StoryHabitat was founded by museum and educational publishing media developer Brad Larson with a goal of encouraging people to connect their own lives to exhibits and events through their stories. Short experiential narratives can enliven a space both for the person recording and the public.

Before founding StoryHabitat, Brad was Technology Developer at Boston Children’s Museum for ten years, where he focused on technology applications that promote family learning. He received his EdM in the Interactive Technologies in Education program at Harvard Graduate School of Education, including a year-long work/study program at the MIT Media Lab.

Brad has contributed to the field with presentations at AAM, ASTC, and ACM Interactivity, where he has led sessions on empathy in exhibits. He has served as a website judge for Museums and the Web and the New England Museum Association, and as a Reviewer for IMLS Leadership Grant proposals.

The team of Boston based developers has developed projects for Washington Post Magazine and Levine Museum of the New South (both winners of the AAM MUSE Award), Smithsonian’s National Zoo (named Best Museum Website at Museums and the Web), American Museum of Natural History, California Science Center, American Visionary Art Museum, and children’s museums across the U.S.
